2136.396 – DEIMOS PERENNIAL

Live from the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Deimos!

The show starts with Commissioner Massif welcoming the fans to 2136.  He announces that it’s so good to be back in the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, he and the GWF Board of Directors have decided that the GALAXY’S FINEST™ will broadcast from Deimos THE WHOLE YEAR!

The crowd loves this.

He also announces that in addition to Aetrhan Overmaster getting his GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP rematch tonight against Perfect Specimen, there will be an 8-man tournament to crown a new INTERPLANETARY CHAMPION.

Suddenly, Massif is bonked on the back of the head.  Spinning around ready to face any attack, he sees that it is Murtak who has hit him with his flagpole.  Murtak pushes past him and heads to the ring.

MURTAK:  I demand a challenge worthy of the SUPREME CONQUEROR, Murtak the Merciless!  No longer will I flounder in tag team matches.  It is time for me to ascend to the GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP where I belong!  So send out my opponent.

Faller appears with Lord Nexus and the crowd goes nuts!  Faller shakes hands all the way to the ring and climbs up in it ready to face Murtak.

MURTAK:  Uh, no.  No, no, no.  When I said opponent, I did not me for it to be you.  You may leave., thank you.

Faller smirks and shakes his head indicating he’s going nowhere.

MURTAK:  Please send me a worthy opponent.  Someone of proper size and stature.

There is a loud screeching and an air of panic races through the arena!  THE BASILISK IS HERE!

The creature parts the audience as people scurry from.  He smashes through the railing and climbs up into the ring.  Murtak is hiding behind Faller.  Suddenly, Murtak pushes Faller into The Basilisk and flees from the ring, tumbling through the ropes to the arena floor.

The ref rings the bell!

The Basilisk d. Faller via submission when Faller is no longer able to continue – ***** – The Basilisk is every bit as terrifying as we’ve heard.  He simply destroys Faller beating him to a bloody pulp.  The ref stopped the match when it was clear that Faller was not fighting back and The Basilisk just continued beating him instead of attempting a pin.  Who can stop this creature?

Demon Godsend d. TERROR via pinfall after COVER OF DARKNESS – * – TERROR had the upper hand but after the action spilled to the outside, Demon Godsend used a chair behind the ref’s back to clobber TERRO and toss him back into the ring, setting him up for victory.

TITAN STAND d. CHAMELEON CREATURES via submission when Kenji makes Chameleon Creature Black Death submit to the KIMURA – * – It took the Titans a few minutes to wrap their head around their opponents but once they did, Kenji put Chameleon Creature Black Death away in a hurry.  Perhaps the newcomers are still getting used to wrestling in this universe?  Who knows?  After the match, Overtime swore that he saw flashes of past wrestlers in the bodes of the Chameleon Creatures.  It seemed to unnerve him a bit.

GWF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Cosmic Woman d. Lady Godsend via pinfall after a Cosmic Energy Burst – ***** – This was a hell of a match!  At the final bell, neither wrestler could get on their feet!  Cosmic Woman is successful in her first defense but this took everything she had.  In a surprise, the crowd gave Lady Godsend a standing ovation at she left ringside.

INTERPLANETARY CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
TITAN DEATH RULES
Match is ruled a NO CONTEST when Epoch collapses and is unable to continue – ***** – Until the finish this was an exciting match.  Both meant fighting with everything they had.  The match was called when Epoch, advancing on HelSin, suddenly collapsed!  HelSin rushed to the aid of his teammate and called for medics to attend to him.  No winner, so we are still without an INTERPLANETARY CHAMPION, but it’ll be interesting to see how this develops.

GALAXIAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
GLADIATORS d. FDF TRADITION via pinfall when Fist smashes Tank with ARMAMENT – *** – Good showing by FDF TRADITION but they were no match for theGLADIATORS who came to win.

GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Aetrhan Overmaster d. Perfect Specimen via pinfall after DOMINANCE – ***** – Perfect Specimen’s  first GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP reign comes crashing down as Aethran Overmaster reclaims the title!  Perfect Specimen was on defense the whole match and just tried to survive the onslaught of Aetrhan Overmaster.

Aethran Overmaster is the new GALAXIAN CHAMPION.

After the bell, Overmaster tossed Perfect Specimen out of the ring to Lord Nexus and stood tall with the title.  He was soon joined by the GLADIATORS and Paralyze.  The Aethrans make a big statement to start 2136 as we…
