FIRST ROUND
Gladiators and Brains and Brawn receive Byes and will face each other in the second round.
Evolved d. Titan Samurai when Orrus smashed Azuma with the UNSTOPPABLE SLAM. ★★
Headliners d. Sovereign when Mr. Everything pinned Exo-King after IMPRESSIVE. – ★1/2
Crime Busters d. Castilex when Sunman pins Moog after FIRE IN THE SKY. – ★★★1/2 – Castilex trapped Speedster and were wearing him down, but the youngster was able to make the tag and Sunman came in and cleaned house.
SECOND ROUND
Brains and Brawn d. Gladiators via DQ when Fist smashed Hunter with a chain at ringside. ★ – When the Gladiators argued that this should have been a No DQ match as the evening was set up, Langley said, since it was their first match of the tournament it was technically a First Round match and, therefore, fought under regular rules. Fist had to be restrained by Siege to not attack Langley.
Evolved d. Headliners when Orrus covered Show Stopper after an UNSTOPPABLE SLAM. SQUASH – The fans are not happy that two ‘gruesome’ looking aliens are headed to the finals.
Brains and Brawn d. Crime Busters when Hunter levels Sunman with the BLACKJACK STRIKE. ★★★★ – Match of the night. Fans are solidly behind Hunter and Thinker!
World Tag Team Championship
Brains and Brawn d. Evolved when Thinker pinned Orrus after an Optic Eye Rake. ★★★1/2 – Brains and Brains regained the titles they surrendered not long ago. After Thinker told the cheering crowd, “Thanks to my brains and Hunter’s Brawn, we have reclaimed what is rightfully ours and are your World Tag Team Champions. I’ve run the numbers. There’s not a team around that can defeat us.”
