CARD #2124.101 – SUPERNOVA – 04.07.2124

From Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Deimos

– FADE IN –
We are in COMMISSIONER DRURY’S luxury box. The entire MARTIAL LAW team is assembled with the notable exception of MONOLITH. DRUR has the GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP over his shoulder.

RETRIBUTION: …don’t understand why he’s not here.

DRURY: A, it’s none of your business. B, he’s preparing for the Fatal Showdown tonight. That match is up first. All this is besides the point. What’s important right now is that we’ve entered a time where great care and precaution is needed. When I won this belt at SHOCKWAVE, I instantly put myself under the microscope of the Executive Board. They are thinking that I’m using my role as Commissioner to the advantage of myself and my team.

RETRIBUTION: Aren’t you?

DRURY (shoots him a look): Of course not. But just the same, I’ve had to make some concessions. I can no longer wear the Iron Hand armor when I wrestle. But that won’t matter. I’m not letting go of this belt so soon.

PATCH: What about Hector? When do I get my hands on him?

DRURY: Well, that’s another concession I had to make. THey told me I couldn’t just give my men title shots. They said I had to do things “fairly”.

PATCH: What does that mean?

DRURY: It means tonight, you’re going to wrestle Anivar. The winner faces Hector for the Interplanetary Championship.

PATCH: I’ve beaten that punk already. WHy do I gotta beat him again?

DRURY: Again, it was a concession. But look at it this way, win or lose I still win. If you win, my man gets a title shot. If you should happen to lose…

PATCH: Which I won’t.

DRURY: Fine. But if you should, it means Hector’s got to face his own teammate!

PATCH: I see what you’re doing.

DRURY: Yes. Everything is under control as you can see. No remember, we must be even more careful. But, if you all follow my plans exactly, this fed is ours for the taking.

– FATAL SHOWDOWN MATCH #4 – TURNBUCKLE SHOCK MATCH –
Wolf vs. Monolith
Wolf defeated Monolith with a submission with the SAVAGE FACE CLAW
Match Rating: 3.50
Match Notes: A good back and forth match until Monolith missed a turnbuckle charge and slammed right into a huge zap from the shocking turnbuckles! WOLF was there to slap on the SAVAGE FACE CLAW and he pulls ahead into a comfortable lead over MONOLITH in the FATAL SHOWDOWN!

– BACKSTAGE –
We cut backstage to DARK CARNIVAL’S dimly lit dressing room. ORACLE is peering into a box of stones. He chants over them and then drops the box to the floor. The stones rise up out of the box, hover in the air then drop to the ground. He looks over them then announces to his teammates that he has predicted that tonight one of their enemies will be injured. With this ominous message we cut back to ringside.

Mifits vs. Titan Energy
Nosfera defeated Nitro with a pinfall after the DEMON’S BREATH
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: Decent back and forth but THE MISFITS seemed to be too much for the young team from TITAN.

Gryt vs. Mantis
Mantis defeated Gryt with a countout after SWARM delivered a piledriver to GRYT on the arena floor
Match Rating: 1.50
Match Notes: In a surprising move, SWARM got involved in the match behind the ref’s back and delivered a piledriver to GRYT on the arena floor resulting in a countout win for MANTIS. ROTUNDA was furious and so was GRYT when he came to. Is MANTIS capable of winning a match on his own without his father’s help? Fans will have to wait and see!

On the Edge vs. Frontal Assault
Zygon defeated Payback with a pinfall after the POWER OF KROLL
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: Before the match began, DEADLIEST jumped both HAVOC and PAYBACK from behind. As they spun to confront her, FRONTAL ASSAULT attacked and gained an early advantage. THey were able to hang onto it the whole match and picked up a dominating victory!

Plethador vs. Oracle
Oracle defeated Plethador with a pinfall after SIXTH SENSE
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: ORACLE dominates PLETHADOR in this match, picking up a decisive win against the amphibian.

– INTERPLANETARY CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER MATCH – TITAN DEATH RULES –
Patch vs. Anivar
Anivar defeated Patch with a pinfall with THE ENFORCER SPEAKS
Match Rating: 5.00
Match Notes: ANIVAR dominated this match. Totally. PATCH got in a little offense but it was mostly all ANIVAR all the time. This, of course, now sets up a HECTOR vs. ANIVAR match in a few weeks which should be just as exciting.

– GWF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – NON-TITLE MATCH –
Mother Superior vs. Phantasy
Mother Superior defeated Phantasy with a pinfall after SERPENTS OF HYDRA
Match Rating: 4.50
Match Notes: These two teammates pulled out ALL the stops in this match. So close to being a full five star affair. At one point the ladies traded several deathjumps in a row! The crowd was on it’s feet and even though neither lady is a fan favorite, they received a standing ovation at the end. PHANTASY and MOTHER SUPERIOR shook hands after the match and PHANTASY raising MOTHER SUPERIOR’S hand was what we saw as we…
